Slagstreet Review: No Slags, Just Sorrows…
I have seen every type of dating site out there and nothing really surprises me anymore. In fact, I assume every dating site I’m going to check out is fraudulent until it proves otherwise. I hate to be that way, but unfortunately, the good apps and sites seem to be dwindling in number.
Recently, I came across SlagStreet and went into the investigation cautiously, as is my typical manner and approach. Slagstreet.com is intended for users in the U.S., Australia, and the U.K., but anyone from anywhere is able to join if they are so inclined. Truthfully, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, you’re probably going to have the same results that I had.
So, what are those results, you are probably asking?
Well, if you’re thinking of using Slagstreet.com to find sex partners, you’re going to be interested in what I had to find. Keep reading to find out if Slagstreet redeemed itself, or if it was one of the dating sites that keeps me doubting the newbies on the block.
Why Slagstreet.com Isn’t One of the Good Guys
When you’re going to join a dating site, there are definitely a handful of red flags you should look out for, and I’ve seen them all. Slagstreet.com is no different and uses one of the biggest right out of the gate, by stating that the site is to be used for entertainment purposes only. This means that you’re probably not going to have much success using the site.
Entertainment Sites = Scam
Entertainment sites usually mean one thing, and one thing only: they use fake profiles. If you’re new to the world of dating sites, most of the bad sites out there use fake profiles to entice members into thinking the site is full of active, sexy, fun, horny women just looking to get into your pants and your bedroom.
However, I promise you, these fake profiles are not going to ever get busy with you, they can’t, they’re paid to talk to you. Yep, they are really just people behind some hot pictures stolen from the internet who get paid to engage with you and keep you thinking they’re going to have sex with you so you will keep paying membership dues. And, sites can do this sort of deceitful thing because they state it in their terms of service that nobody ever reads.
Terms, Terms, and More Terms
Here is my PSA for the day: No matter what hookup site you decide to join, always, always, ALWAYS read the terms of service or the terms and conditions of the site. For legal purposes, the site has to list the things they do, what rights you have, and what charges you could incur. These terms are very informative and really everyone should read them to make sure they’re getting exactly what they think they’re getting.
Oh, and Slagstreet.com goes one step further. They say that you are at your own risk by talking to anyone on their site. They really take no responsibility for the members they allow to join their site.
This tells me that they’re totally more interested in making money and will let anyone through without ensuring they are who they say there are, which is sketchy, to say the least.
Free Doesn’t Equal Free
Another reason I don’t like Slagstreet.com is that they claim to be free, but they certainly are not. Yes, you can join for free, but once you’re a free member, you can’t actually do anything.
If you want to interact with anyone (real or otherwise), you have to upgrade your membership and use their token system to chat.
See, tokens, or credits as they sometimes call them, seem inexpensive, but once you realize that you have to use a token for every, single interaction it can really add up. And remember, you’re probably talking to someone who works for the company, so you’re essentially paying for their rent and groceries for the month. Maddening, isn’t it?
If you’re interested in paying to use Slagstreet, here’s what it will cost (they charge in pounds, so this is the approximate current U.S. conversion):
• One-month subscription-$29.01
• Three-month subscription-$58.10
• Six-month subscription-$94.44
• One-year subscription-$130.81
Shady AF Managing Company
One of the final reasons I find that Slagstreet.com is a total fraud and won’t get you laid is because they are a Venntro Media Site.
That might not mean much to you but let me lay it out. Venntro Media Group is a group, registered in England and Wales, that’s an online dating services company. They provide payment processing technology and software for thousands of online dating sites.
Do you think they’re managing all of these dating sites well? Hell no! The only reason Venntro Media exists is to make money for Venntro Media. They don’t care if you’re safe, they don’t care if you get laid, and they certainly don’t care if you spend your entire paycheck on credits or tokens.
I know all dating sites are companies looking to make money, I expect that. But, there are dating sites out there that actually want their members to be happy and make sure that they are safe. Trust me, I’ve used pretty decent free hookup websites and I have seen what the best ones do to ensure that their members enjoy their dating site experiences. I’ve also used premium ones (this one is awesome) that require payment and those seem to be better most of the time!
Unfortunately, Slagstreet.com is not one of those sites. And, I have tried out other Venntro Media Group dating sites and each and every one was the same story: fake profiles, no safety, high pricing, and constant expensive chatting that lead nowhere.
Slagstreet.com: Definitely Not Worth Your Time or Money
I wish I could say that Slagstreet was a good option in the casual hookup dating site world, but that just isn’t the case.
If you’re looking for a sure thing, you should not only avoid Slagstreet.com, you should avoid every site that Venntro Media Group manages. The only thing you’re going to get will be a huge credit card bill and a headache.
Oh, and probably a nice case of blue balls.
Look, just stay the hell away from the sites like this, they’re pretty much garbage – enough said.
why would anyone take backpage ads serious? They are mostly all STINGS. Use hook up apps, thank me later.
Looking for a sexy mature woman to have sex with and a good time with no strings attached? [phone number removed]
Hi in Columbia but coming to NY. What’s easiest way for quick clean discrete hookup? Thanks
My advice would be to join one of the sites on my “best apps” page and you’ll find someone, no problem.
Ariel, Angelic Adelene, Annabelle, Genevieve. All 1 chic tried to trust her dated for almost 4 years. Got her out of lifestyle moved her to bail caught her living with a douche.they all use fake names. Tried to help her what a waste of. You can not help someone who enjoys what they do.tried to give her a better life. If you got ripped off by her I no her real name an where she’s at let’s talk
You came into it like a newbie idiot anyway. Backpage had escort reviews in the past. You obviously looked at the wrong people.
There are great escorts, both male and female. I don’t know how you managed to get this put online, but whomever reads this don’t believe this man.
You got played is all that was.
Jean, thanks for stopping by. I always love when hookers who depended on backpage escort ads to generate income come and chime in. It’s laughable that they think this is legal!
