Dating Site Scams Revealed (Which To Avoid)

If you’ve used any dating website and you’ve had the unfortunate experience of dealing with online dating scams then you’ll appreciate this section of my website. For starters, just like many of you out there, I too have been scammed before.

In fact, I’ve probably been scammed online more times than you just due to the sheer number of dating sites that I’ve tested out (so that you don’t have to try them). That said, I’ve recently decided to add a section to this site called the Scam Alert section.

This section will be the main area of the site where I expose every single scam that I’ve ever come across. I’ve studied so many different sites and casual sex dating apps, tactics and anything else you can think of that a typical dating website would have if it were, in fact, a scam.

Now, that being said, during my studies, I was able to determine which sites were also great online dating sites to join if you want to get laid.

There are some sites that actually work pretty damn well. I use some of them to this day. I’m not here to talk about the ones that work. I’m here to expose the shitty sites that without a doubt do not work!

For starters, if you see the warning message directly below on any of my reviews, you should not join the site. Instead, I’ve provided alternative options for you on the review pages. Here is the message to look out for…

WARNING: SCAM EXPOSED. DO NOT JOIN THIS DATING SITE!

How I Identify Scam Dating Sites

Here are some of the criteria that I used when determining if a site was a scam or legit…

Initial Communications

I put a significant amount of weight on my initial communications with people once I joined each site. For example, if I started to receive a significant amount of messages from users without even having my profile completed, this counted heavily against the website.

I know that many sites use bots and other fakes users by sending messages to new members as if they are real people. If I received a significant number of messages on day one with no real profile then the site was considered to be a scam right away.

Members Profiles

I paid close attention to the profiles of the members close to me. I made a point to check to see if I had seen the profiles on other dating sites that had previously been flagged as scams. If the members were all “10s” then I knew it was likely too good to be true.

No dating site has only hot girls. There are always girls that you won’t find attractive on a site. It’s just the nature of using an online dating site. I made it a point to immediately flag a site as a scam alert if the profile photos looked fake or too cookie-cutter like.

Dating Company

I investigated the companies behind the dating sites themselves. I did this in order to determine whether or not they were previously involved in some sort of scam. If the company was already involved in a dating scam, then it didn’t bode very well.

User Reviews

I took user reviews from other websites into consideration. There are plenty of online reviews of dating sites and I did my due diligence on each one of the sites. In the event that I came across a site that had a ton of negative reviews then I immediately flagged the site as a scam.

These are just a few pieces of criteria that I had used to determine whether or not a site was legit or a scam. Be sure to read my reviews in full before making any buying decisions.

FAQ Section

So many people submit dating sites for me to review. Most of the time they submit them out of curiosity. They want to better identify whether or not a website is legit or a scam. With all the scammers on dating sites today, I don’t blame them for wanting to submit for me to review.

Keep reading for answers to a few questions below that many people ask in regards to scam sites and getting screwed by dating companies (pun intended). Check them out and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions!

What are the typical signs to be on the lookout for in many dating site scams?

A piece of cake, you must pay close attention to a few things and some I’ve mentioned above. Be on the lookout for strange or cookie-cutter messaging. You also want to pay close attention to dating company terms and conditions.

Look to see if they make any mention of auto-generated messages or hiring people to communicate with users as fake members. These are the two main things to look out for.

How many Internet dating scams have you come across in your lifetime?

This is hard to answer. I’ve literally seen thousands of sites that looked like shitty scams but I didn’t take any action on them. I have not bothered to review 90% of the sites I’ve come across. That just shows you how bad some sites really can be. Another fascinating reason to stick to my top list of sites.

Do companies lookout for Nigerian dating scammers?

Most of the companies that run and maintain the network of sites that I use all hire people to protect their users from Nigerian scams. They constantly monitor sites 24/7 and even delete profiles that look suspicious.

That’s essentially what you are paying for when you upgrade your membership. It’s better security and results too! One very important thing I want to mention is that some sites have been created to house nothing other fake scammer profiles.

If you join one of these sites, there’s a good chance that you’ll eventually end up getting “catfished.” This is a term commonly used to describe the art of scamming dating members. I’ve provided a full rundown of what that it all means, click here to learn more.

Someone told me that all dating sites are scams, is this true?

Whoever told you this is a fucking liar. They have no idea what they are talking about. In fact, they may even tell you that just to deter you from joining a site.

You must remember that it makes it more difficult for them to hookup if you are a member. Don’t listen to anybody else other than me.

Do you have a list of ripoff dating sites that exist?

Yes, I’ve got a full list of ripoff dating sites that I 100% suggest you steer clear from! Stay far away from any of the sites listed to the right in the sidebar on this page.

Are there sites you can recommend that you know are 100% legit right now?

Yes! There are a few sites that I’d considered 100% legit and I can even recommend that you join the sites. The table below lists out a few of the sites that I recommend you join if you want to successfully get laid using an online dating site.

Here’s a List of SCAM FREE Dating Websites and Apps

All of these sites listed below are trustworthy and they 100% pass my scam check analysis.

  1. The problem I have with most date sites is their lack of security savvy. If I don’t want a hacker getting into my bank account why would I post it to a date site? Furthermore the less the site itself can access my account the better. However most want a full blown credit or debit card with name, bank, and other info that I think they don’t need to know. I would prefer to use one of those gift cards or a reloadable debit card but most refuse to allow their use. So this tends to send up a RED FLAG to meas well. It may give you something else to check on in the future. Thanks

  2. I’ve come across the most incideous of scams related to the so called “Dating ID” and/or “Hookup ID Card” phenomenon. It goes something like this: aYour contact by screaming hot girl who says all the right things, gets you hooked on her breast, box and her charm only to discovery you have to register at a cite of her choosing to prove your age, that your not in the sexual preditor database and that you have not been convicted of a violent or serious domestic incident. The site swears not to charge your card and once you enter all the pertinent I formation, most importantly your credit card with enough funds to cover the post trial period membership fees, the girls address will miraculously appear in order for you to take your ass straight to her and get laid. You never have a live vocal conversation, everything is done by text and the telephone numbers are free apps like Googe Voice, Text now or the like.
In reality, your card is charged $39.50, no address appears, the girl stops texting and the site has no knowledge of the person who just scammed you. Worst of all, the girls refuse to meet until you have the ID or address claiming it’s for their safety, blah, blah , blah.
I’m sharing this because it happened twice. The second time I knew what was going to happen but the girl was so hot and so convincing I did it anyway justifying it by saying to myself, shes to nice to let me get burned. When you get denied, that ask for a screen shot with all the info needed to use the card. Hello, dont do it stupid. Thanks.

  3. Do sex sites randomly create profiles for you as a way to lure you in? I’m asking because my bf keeps getting texts about his “profile” that has his right age and location, but no pic, incomplete, and 0 people hes contacted. I believe him when he says he never went on the site, but i want to know if sex sites do this.

    • If he’s getting texts and the profile is connected to his personal phone, then he’s definitely pulling the wool over your eyes. Hate to say it but he signed up using that phone number – no doubt about it. Sure, sites incorporate fake profiles, but none of them are sophisticated enough to connect your personal phone number and email to you without actually signing up to test or use the site – sorry.

  4. Don’t use the site “wanting to fuck ” dot com. It’s a scam. I believe the women keep baiting you on there so you can keep purchasing message credits. A bunch of wasteful back and forth messaging. I wouldn’t be surprised if some women probably worked on behalf of the site. It’s kinda expensive too. I prefer a flat low monthly rate with unlimited messaging.

    • Exactly the same as the UK site ‘Real British Sex’, a total scam with random messages received from hot looking girls in answer to genuine queries and questions. Do not use this site and share the warning as much as possible.
