GetAnAffair.com Review
One of the online dating niches that have shown the most growth in recent years is cheating sites. A growing number of spouses are using online dating to have a discreet affair. GetAnAffair.com is a site that uses the popularity of this niche to make money. That would be fine if they offered real connections in return, but they do not. I am familiar with scammy dating sites because most of them are and I suspected that this was not legitimate. I didn’t see any glaring warnings right away, so I continued inside. Check out my full review and you will see that I was right to be suspicious.
Get An Affair.com And The Awful Reviews
Select your sex and age and enter your e-mail, password, and zip code to begin registration. Activate your account by clicking on the confirmation e-mail is sent to you. This takes you inside and asks you to fill out your screen name, status, who you are looking for, their age range, and the city you want to search in.
Profile Deets
You have the option to upload a photo and you are taken inside. The profiles are displayed in a gallery and feature the option to chat, send message, send wink, add friend, or “like” the profile in the tradition of social media. You have the option to sort them by age range and distance. The box that says “more” opens up multiple sorting options like ethnicity, income, body type, religion, and more. This would be an impressive advanced search engine if you had access to real profiles.
Messaging…Ugh
I began receiving messages and chat requests and they were obviously automated. Every message you attempt to respond to takes you to the payment page and tells you that you must purchase a membership if you want to chat, see full profile information, and enjoy their extended search. The cheapest you can get away with is a 3-day trial membership for 99 cents a day. You will be charged the full monthly charge at the end of the trial.
The monthly charge is marked as 91 cents a day to make it appear as if it’s cheap, but it equals over $27 a month. They do the same thing with the other packages. The 3-month membership package is marked as 51 cents a day but that equals $46. it’s 41 cents a day when you purchase 6 months and that equals $74.
Conclusion: It’s Crap – Stay Back
If you have been active in online dating for any amount of time, you have probably seen many sites that look just like GetAnAffair.com. One company creates a long list of sites and uses the same software on all of them to fool unsuspecting horny men into paying their prices. These sites cover several niches and have slight tweaks in their look and features but all of them have the same conning practices.
If you learn to notice them, you will save a lot of time investigating a site that doesn’t prove to be a fraud until after you have wasted your money on it. Don’t waste your money on this one. Spending money is the only way to use it and you don’t get an experience that is worth spending a dime on.
